Team Origins
ClotShield began at a medical device competition at UTSA February 2024.
What started as a solution to the leading cause of pregnancy-related death expanded to a device capable of combatting the 10,000+ annual clotting deaths in US Hospitals.
Changes and Progress
Since our founding competition, ClotShield evolved into several iterations, culminating in the patent-pending product now on track to enter clinical studies by the end of 2025.
A Growing Team
With the growth of the product, a company complete with advisors and connections has emerged to push the ClotShield to market.
ClotShield has partnerships with the University of Oklahoma’s Biomedical Engineering Department, and mentors from regulatory, clinical, and marketing backgrounds.
